$10,000 Days Are Not Realistic. But They're Possible.

Income screenshots skip the years of work behind them. Here is what actually produces forex affiliate income, and the stepping-stone path from a $100 day to a $1,000 day.

Scroll any trading or affiliate feed and you will see it: a $10,000 day, a $50,000 month, a penthouse, and a caption saying it only took three months. It is designed to make you feel late.

The honest version: a $10,000 day is not a realistic expectation for someone starting out. It is a possible outcome for someone who builds the right infrastructure and stays in the game long enough.

This guide covers what those screenshots leave out, what actually produces affiliate income, the stepping-stone framework we teach inside BrokerAffiliation, the funnel math behind a daily number, and why most people quit early.

Every number here is an illustration, not a forecast. Results depend on your audience, broker terms, conversion, client retention and consistency.

Why the screenshots you see are misleading

Big days exist. The problem is believing they are the standard outcome instead of the exceptional one.

What the screenshot does not show:

  • It is the best day, not the average. Nobody posts the Tuesday that paid $40. One strong day gets cropped and reposted for months.
  • It hides the timeline. "Three months" often means three months of posting, not of building an audience or a reputation.
  • It hides the costs. Ad spend, team, sub-affiliate payouts and tools never appear on a commission dashboard.
  • It can be one client. A single large account depositing and trading heavily can create a day that never repeats.
  • Some of it is fabricated. Most posts are exaggerated, some are fake, and almost none show the full picture.

Judge income by what repeats, not by what peaks. A boring $100 that shows up most trading days says more about a business than one $10,000 screenshot.

What actually produces affiliate income

A big affiliate day is the output of several inputs working together. If one is missing, the number stays small, however hard you post.

InputWhat it meansWhen it is weak
AudiencePeople who see you and trust your judgmentNo new eyes on your content
Conversion systemThe path from viewer to funded accountBare broker link, no follow-up
Active tradersClients who actually trade after depositingDeposit once, then go quiet
Deposit sizeHow much each client depositsTiny deposits, little volume
RetentionHow long clients keep tradingClients leave within weeks

A few notes:

  • Audience does not have to be huge. It has to trust you.
  • Conversion system is where most people lose money without noticing. Upgrade your link in bio, send everyone to Telegram (or a funnel page if they will not use Telegram), and keep the link page to contact, Telegram and maybe one offer. More options confuse people.
  • Active traders are what pay you on the rebate model. A funded account that never trades earns you nothing per lot.
  • Retention is the multiplier. Signals, copy traders, indicators, education and community keep traders active for months, not days. Roughly 40% of people do not want to sit and trade or learn, they want something passive, which is why copy traders with verified track records matter alongside signals.

None of this happens overnight. A $10,000 day is usually infrastructure built over months or years finally paying off, often all at once.

The stepping-stone framework from $100 to $1,000

Tobias teaches a simple ladder. Each step is small enough to believe and specific enough to measure.

  1. Get to $100 in a day. Once. That proves your system works end to end: content, Telegram, onboarding, broker and tracking.
  2. Make $100 consistent. Not once a month, most trading days. This is where the real learning happens.
  3. Get to $500 in a day. Usually by doing more of what already works, not by inventing something new.
  4. Make $500 consistent.
  5. Then $1,000. Hit it once, then make it the norm.

Why consistency first? A consistent daily number is a business you can plan around. A spike is not.

Here is how consistent daily numbers translate into monthly ones, using roughly 20-24 trading days in a month. Illustration only, not a forecast or an expected outcome.

If your consistent daily number wereAbout 20 trading daysAbout 24 trading days
$100$2,000 a month$2,400 a month
$500$10,000 a month$12,000 a month
$1,000$20,000 a month$24,000 a month

Notice two things. $100 a day, made consistent, is already a meaningful monthly number for most people. And moving up a row is not mainly a jump in effort, it is a jump in systems: more traffic through the same funnel, better conversion, better retention.

That is why $10,000 is the wrong target. You get there by making each rung boring, then climbing to the next one.

The funnel math behind a daily number

A daily number is the end of a funnel, and you can work it backwards.

The benchmark we teach affiliates: roughly 1-3% of people who join your Telegram become a funded account (a first-time deposit). Where you land depends on your traffic and the quality of your Telegram: onboarding, content, trust and follow-up.

Funded accounts you wantJoins needed at 1%Joins needed at 2%Joins needed at 3%
101,000500about 330
252,5001,250about 830
505,0002,500about 1,670

A hypothetical worked example

Say, purely for the math, you want a consistent $100 day from rebates. The numbers below are placeholders, not what a client is worth. Real values vary a lot with broker terms, instruments, lot sizes and how often someone trades.

  • Placeholder: imagine an active client produced $5 a day for you on average. You would need around 20 active traders.
  • Assumption: imagine only half your funded accounts are trading at any time. You would need around 40 funded accounts.
  • Benchmark: at 1-3% join-to-funded, 40 funded accounts means roughly 1,330 to 4,000 Telegram joins.

Now change one input. If better onboarding and retention kept three quarters of funded accounts active instead of half, you would need about 27 instead of 40, roughly a third fewer Telegram joins.

You are not predicting income. You are finding which lever moves the number most for the least extra work, usually conversion and retention, not more posting. Swap in your own data once you have a few weeks of it.

IB vs CPA: two different income shapes

How you are paid changes the shape of your income, not just its size.

IB (rebates)CPA
How you are paidPer lot your clients tradeOnce per qualified first-time deposit
Income shapeRecurring, builds a baselineLumpy, resets every month
What drives itActivity and retentionNew deposits and traffic quality
What can hurt itClients stop tradingDelayed, reduced or withheld commissions

IB income is recurring. As long as your clients trade, you keep earning, so each month starts from the baseline your existing clients produce. That is why consistent days are easier to build on rebates.

CPA income is one-off. You are paid once per qualifying client, so every month starts close to zero.

A higher headline CPA can be harder to actually get paid. Brokers watch traffic quality: deposit size, withdrawals, activity, and the ratio between net deposits and commissions paid. Send the wrong traffic to the wrong broker and commissions can be delayed, reduced or withheld, or your "request payment" button stays greyed out. Your levers are deposit size and withdrawal behaviour, which means sending genuine traders, not people chasing a quick bonus.

Why one big account is not a plan

One large client can create your best day ever. A big deposit on CPA, or a heavy trader on rebates, can turn an ordinary Tuesday into a screenshot.

Enjoy it, then ignore it when you plan. That account can withdraw, stop trading or move broker next week, and your baseline stays where it was. Plan on clients you can repeat.

Why most people quit before $100 days

Most people who start never reach a consistent $100 day. Not because the model does not work, but for the same few reasons:

  1. They expected the screenshot. When week three pays $12, it feels like failure instead of progress.
  2. They have no system. Every client is onboarded by hand in DMs, leads get forgotten and nothing is tracked.
  3. They post, then stop. Two weeks of content, a quiet week, then nothing.
  4. They send people to a bare link. "The broker I use" converts poorly unless your content is genuinely about trading.
  5. They pay for ads too early. Buying traffic before organic content works, and before they are comfortable on camera, usually burns money.
  6. They optimise for the payout, not the client. Pushing big lot sizes churns clients and damages trust.
  7. They go it alone. Building signals, copy trading, education, onboarding and tracking alone is a full company, and most people burn out before their content has time to work.

Almost none of these are about talent. They are about expectations, systems and time.

What the people who get there do differently

The people who reach consistent days treat this like a business, not a lottery ticket:

  • They build systems early. Our rule: if you do something more than twice, build a system around it.
  • They show up when nobody is watching. Consistent content for months before it pays.
  • They measure and optimise. They know which content brings joins, which joins become funded accounts and which clients keep trading. They double down on what works and cut what does not.
  • They care about the client. They teach risk management, never push the highest lot size, and care whether clients make money. Happy clients stay longer and refer friends and family.
  • They promote responsibly. Trading carries substantial risk. They include risk warnings, never promise profit, tell people to trade only with money they can afford to lose, promote to adults (18+) only, follow local promotion rules, and mention bonuses only where the broker offers them and it is permitted.
  • They use existing infrastructure. They plug into a back end of signals, copy traders, education and an onboarding bot, and spend their own time on content and being live.

Real examples from the network

These are individual results stated by affiliates in interviews with BrokerAffiliation. They are not typical, not a promise of any result, and they are best days, not averages.

  • Robin (19, Norway, a car flipper with a lifestyle following) knew nothing about forex in January 2026. He said he reached his first $100 day on day three, and his best day was around $1,500-1,600 within four months. His biggest help: "you just send them the bot, the bot helps them with everything".
  • Borys (19, from Poland, living in Norway, trading for two years) said his best rebate day was around $600 after about two months. What he values: "I don't have to think about the traders, I don't have to think about the systems, you do them and I use them to scale my business."
  • Aram has worked with Tobias for about four years and said his best day was about $2K. His turning point: "when you put a face to the systems, that's when it actually started scaling".

Different backgrounds, different timelines. What they share: a system behind them and the habit of showing up.

Top 10 tips

  1. Aim for $100, not $10,000. One $100 day proves every part of your funnel works.
  2. Make it boring before you make it bigger. Move to the next rung only once the current one repeats on most trading days.
  3. Send everything to Telegram. Your link in bio should lead to Telegram or a simple funnel page.
  4. Automate onboarding. A bot that walks new clients through account setup and into the right group saves hours.
  5. Know your funnel numbers. Track joins, funded accounts and active traders every week.
  6. Offer passive and active options. Signals for people who want to trade, verified copy traders for people who want something passive.
  7. Prefer recurring income. Rebates build a baseline that carries into next month. CPA restarts from zero.
  8. Protect retention. A lower client spread, education and community keep clients trading for months.
  9. Go organic first. Get content working and get comfortable on camera before you pay for traffic.
  10. Ignore the spike when you plan. Celebrate the big day, then plan on the number you can repeat.

Key takeaways

  • A $10,000 day is not a realistic expectation, but it is a possible outcome of doing the right things for long enough.
  • Income screenshots show peaks. Build and judge your business on what repeats.
  • Affiliate income comes from audience, a conversion system, active traders, deposit size and retention working together.
  • Climb the ladder: $100 once, $100 consistent, $500, consistent, then $1,000.
  • With roughly 1-3% of Telegram joins becoming funded accounts, conversion and retention usually move the number more than extra posting.
  • Rebates build a recurring baseline, CPA resets every month, and one big account is never a plan.

Frequently asked questions

Is a $10,000 day as a forex affiliate realistic?

Not as an expectation, especially early on. It usually comes from a large, trusting audience, a strong conversion system and many active traders built up over months or years, or from one large account on one day.

How long does it take to reach a consistent $100 day?

There is no standard timeline. Some affiliates get there quickly, others take months, and many quit first. It depends on your audience, conversion, broker terms and consistency.

Should I choose IB rebates or CPA to build consistent days?

Rebates are recurring as long as your clients trade, so they build a baseline that makes consistent days easier. CPA pays once per qualified deposit and depends heavily on traffic quality. The right choice depends on your audience and your brokers.

How many Telegram members do I need?

Work backwards from the number of funded accounts you want. With a benchmark of roughly 1-3% of joins becoming funded accounts, each funded account needs around 33 to 100 joins. Better onboarding and follow-up lower that number.

Where should I start if I am at zero?

Start with one audience, one Telegram, one onboarding flow and one target: $100 in a day. The free IB Masterclass on YouTube (versions 0.0, 1.0 and 2.0, about an hour each, plus a 12-part IB series) walks through the whole model.
